Two government lawyers recognised in New Year’s Honours
Two government legal advisers have been given awards in the 2023 New Year’s Honours list.

They are:
- Samuel Littlejohns, Senior Lawyer at Ministry of Defence Legal Advisers, Government Legal Department: an OBE for services to the law.
- Simon Mundy, Lawyer at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Legal Advisers, Government Legal Department: an MBE For public and voluntary service.
Other honours included a CBE for Professor John Finnis of the University of Oxford, who was recognised for services to legal scholarship.
David Lockyer, Legal Adviser, Westminster Magistrates' Court, HM Courts and Tribunal Service, was given an MBE for public and voluntary service.
