Gavinder Ryait has joined Capsticks as a partner and will lead the firm’s Housing Management team in London.

Ryait has more than 20 years’ experience in the sector. Her expertise is in housing management litigation, particularly injunctions, possession claims, closure orders and high profile, complex anti-social behaviour matters.

Capsticks said Ryait had acted for a wide range of local authorities and housing associations and had been involved in numerous Court of Appeal decisions relating to social housing.

Michael Owen, Head of Housing Management at Capsticks, said: “The Social and Affordable Housing sector remains under more pressure than ever, and Gavinder joining the team at Capsticks is a key part of our continuing commitment to deliver results that matter for organisation that make a difference in housing.”
