Real estate law firm appoints public sector property specialist
Specialist property law firm Davitt Jones Bould has strengthened its public sector practice with the appointment of Sandy Munroe as partner.
- Details
Munroe has more than 35 years' experience in commercial real estate law and has acted for both the private and public sector.
Prior to joining Davitt Jones Bould, Munroe was a senior property consultant and a former Partner and Head of Local Government Property at Anthony Collins Solicitors.
She has also previously spent 11 years as a partner at Bevan Brittan.
Davitt Jones Bould said it hoped Munroe would boost the firm's capacity to offer advice to its public sector clients, which include Surrey and Wiltshire Councils, as well as the Cabinet Office, the Royal Parks, the Ministry of Defence, the Care Quality Commission and UK Health Security Agency.
Madeleine Davitt, Senior Partner at Davitt Jones Bould, said: “Today’s public sector organisations face diverse, significant pressures and they need commercially robust legal advice they can trust. Sandy brings these qualities in abundance, combining strong social awareness with efficiency and technical excellence.
"She is a dynamic, business-minded lawyer with a highly collaborative approach and I am thrilled to welcome her to the Davitt Jones Bould team.”
In addition to her role at Davitt Jones Bould, Munroe is a Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) advocate and leader, having been ED&I Chairperson/Local Lead at her two former practices, part of Birmingham Law Society’s REACH group and a member and supporter of Birmingham Black Lawyers.
She has also been a member of Women in Property, the Society of Black Lawyers and the Law Society’s ED&I Programme.
