North West community housing group to create £750k pa legal services flexible purchasing system
A North West social landlord is to set up a legal services flexible purchasing system (FPS) worth an estimated £750,000 per annum.
- Details
Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG) manages almost 14,000 properties, providing homes for more than 29,000 people in Wythenshawe, which is eight miles south of Manchester city centre.
The social landlord said: “WCHG currently spends around £750k per annum on a variety of legal services across the Group. WCHG does not have an internal legal function and require external legal expertise and flexible resources to provide commercial legal services as part of the contract notice.
“As part of this re-tender of legal services, the Group will also be reviewing internal decision-making processes to ensure greater value for money across our legal spend.”
The FPS will run for four years. The lotting structure is:
- Property Litigation and Asset Management
- Development
- Conveyancing
- Corporate Governance, Compliance and Regulatory
- Employment
- Commercial
- Housing Management
- Finance and Tax
The closing date is 17 November 2023 (5 pm).
The contract is due to start on 1 January 2024 and run until 31 December 2027.
