The University of Sheffield has appointed six law firms to a legal services framework worth an estimated £4m.

The university said the purpose of the framework was “to create a relationship with the selected legal firms based on an understanding of the university's practices and culture that will deliver the highest quality outputs while offering value for money”.

Each firm is expected to provide a comprehensive service under the following categories:

  • Commercial Legal Service
  • Employment
  • Physical Estate and Construction
  • Governance and Regulations
  • Dispute Resolution

The successful firms were:

  • CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang
  • DLA Piper UK
  • Eversheds Sutherland (International)
  • Mills & Reeve
  • Pinsent Masons
  • Shakespeare Martineau

The contract started on 1 November 2022 and runs until 31 October 2026.
