Council names 10 chambers to £4m barristers services framework
Bedford Borough Council has appointed 10 sets of chambers to a barristers’ services framework worth an estimated £4m.

The framework has been divided into the following lots:
- Barristers’ Services for Adults, Children and Education (ACE).
- Barristers’ Services for Governance, Planning, Property and Litigation (GPPL).
The successful chambers were:
- 39 Essex Chambers (Lots 1, 2)
- 4 Brick Court (1)
- 42 Bedford Row (1, 2)
- 5 Pump Court (1)
- Cornerstone Barristers (1, 2)
- Field Court (1, 2)
- Francis Taylor Building (2)
- Landmark Chambers (1, 2)
- New Court Chambers (1)
- Regency Barristers Chambers (1)
The council said: “This framework will provide a route to market for the purchase of barristers’ services, where there is demand for capacity or specialist expertise that cannot be met within the council’s in-house Legal Services Unit.”
