One of the leading registered providers of social housing in the UK has named five law firms to a legal services framework worth an estimated £10m.

Riverside Group, which has almost 56,000 homes in management and operates across more than 160 local authorities, divided the framework into the following lots:

  1. Corporate, Finance & Treasury.
  2. Housing Management.
  3. Property & Development.

The successful firms were:

  • Anthony Collins Solicitors (lots 1, 2, 3)
  • Capsticks (2)
  • Devonshires (1, 3)
  • DWF (3)
  • Penningtons Manches Cooper (1, 3)

The framework agreement is for an initial term of two years with the option to extend for up to a further 24 months up to a maximum of four years.

The procurement was carried out to replace Riverside’s current framework for external expertise to facilitate existing in-house legal provision “during periods of peak business demands and niche requirements”.

The contract is to cover requirements for England and excludes Scotland.
