Plexus Law names Steel as Head of Public Sector Services

Steel, who is based in the firm’s Manchester office, will coordinate a team of more than 30 public sector lawyers across Plexus’ national network of offices.

He will also be responsible for further developing the public sector services the firm offers for local authorities, emergency services and central government.

He takes the reins from Simon Hills who has moved to a consultancy role within Plexus.

The firm said Steel acts for public authorities and corporate clients on a range of legal issues and, since qualifying as a solicitor in 2003, has built up a specialist practice defending civil actions against the police.

Steel said: “I am excited to be taking on this new and challenging role and working with the team to further develop the outstanding skills and services we can provide to organisations operating within the public sector.”
