A qualified barrister, Choudhury was previously Practice Director at nplaw, the shared legal service based at Norfolk County Council.
He held that role for more than three years.
From 2010 to 2017 Choudhury was Principal Legal Adviser and then Interim Head of Corporate Legal at the General Medical Council.
Prior to that he spent 10 years in the legal team at Kent County Council as Team Leader - Litigation Employment & Education .
