A Scottish housing association has launched the procurement of a legal services framework for up to five years.

Govan Housing Association has divided the framework into the following lots.

  1. General legal, contractual, procurement, construction, acquisitions and property conveyancing.
  2. Housing and estate management which includes factoring.
  3. Governance, financial management and charity.
  4. Employment law.

The maximum number of lots that may be awarded to one tenderer is three.

The framework is to last for a three-year period with the option to extend for 2 x single 1 year periods solely at Govan’s discretion.

The lots will be awarded on the basis of quality (weighting: 70%) and cost of service (weighting: 30%).

Last week the Wheatley Housing Group, which is headquartered in Glasgow and owns or manages more than 79,100 homes across Scotland, appointed nine law firms and other providers to a legal and associated services framework agreement worth an estimated £7.3m.
