County council secures spot on £272m wider public sector framework
Hampshire County Council has been appointed alongside 70 other providers to the Government’s £272m legal services framework for the wider public sector.
The Crown Commercial Service, which procured the framework on behalf of the Cabinet Office, has divided the framework into the following lots:
- Regional service provision (estimated value £70m).
- Full service firms - required to provide services across 17 listed mandatory specialisms (£130m).
- Property and construction (£40m).
- Transport rail (£32m).
Hampshire was appointed to Lot 1.
The agreement, which runs until 30 September 2022, will be available for use by UK public sector customers, including local authorities and the devolved administrations (i.e. England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland). There will be access for central government to limited legal services.
The framework was originally going to include costs lawyer services, but these now appear to be subject to a separate procurement announced earlier this month.
