Barnsley names 11 law firms and county council to £3m
Staffordshire County Council has been appointed alongside 11 law firms to a legal services framework agreement set up by Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council and worth an estimated £3m over four years.
Barnsley said the framework agreement was “for the provision of legal services for a range of different disciplines to support the work of the council’s own Legal Services team in supporting all directorates and key partner organisation in all legal matters as and when they arise”.
The council divided the agreement into the following lots:
- Company & Commercial Law.
- Employment Law and Human Resources.
- General Litigation.
- Charity Law.
- Property Law.
- Governance.
- Housing Law.
- Planning Law.
- Highways and Transportation.
- Adult Social Services and Community Care Law.
- Insolvency specific to Council Tax Debt.
- Insolvency specific to Business Rates Debt.
The successful practices were:
