The University of Glasgow has chosen two law firms for a £4m contract to provide legal services.

It has selected CMS Cameron Mckenna to provide a one stop shop. Worth an estimated £750,000 a year, this lot covers: (a) general legal; (b) property; (c) employment; (d) pensions (including scheme services); and (e) research and IP.

Shepherd & Wedderburn has meanwhile been appointed to the second lot, which will cover employment law and pensions. This lot is worth an estimated £250,000 a year.

The contracts are for 24 months with scope for two 12-month extensions.
